What is Snapchat Ads?

Snapchat is a multimedia instant messaging app and service. One of the principal features of Snapchat is that pictures and messages are usually only available for a short time before they become inaccessible to their recipients

Snap Ads are full-screen vertical video ads that can be up to 10 seconds long. ... Snap Ads appear in between friends' stories and Snapchat curated content such as Snapchat's stories or publishers' stories. Snapchat also offers two other types of advertising: Snapchat Geofilters and Lenses.

How do you link Snapchat Ads accounts on ReportGarden?

In order to link your Snapchat Ads accounts to ReportGarden, please follow the steps below

Navigate to ReportGarden -> Accounts.

Click on Link Account

Click on Snapchat Ads

You will be redirected to Snapchat Ads authentication screen. Enter your credentials, and give access to ReportGarden to read campaign performance data.

You will be redirected back to ReportGarden and the account will be visible in ReportGarden

Attribution Windows

Snapchat Ads provides two attribution windows

  • Swipe up attribution window - Attribution window for swipe ups. 1_DAY, 7_DAY, 28_DAY

  • View attribution window - Attribution window for views - 1_HOUR, 3_HOUR, 6_HOUR, 1_DAY, 7_DAY, 28_DAY

Both of them are available in the Advanced tab in the report widget

The total number of impressions that meet the qualifying video view criteria of at least 2 seconds of consecutive watch time or a swipe up action on the Top Snap.

The average number of seconds spent watching your ad across all impressions.

Conversion Add Billing

The total number of times a user added their billing info in your App or website.

Q: The data that I see in Snapchat Ads dashboard is not matching with what I see in ReportGarden

A: Follow the steps below to ensure that the right settings are selected

  • Ensure that the right date range is selected

  • Ensure that the right metrics are selected

  • Check for any filters

  • Check for the right values of

    • Click window days

    • View window days

Q: Can I display the ad preview in Snapchat?

A: Yes. Choose the dimension as ad, go to advanced tab and select "Show Ad Image" to see the snapchat ad preview

Q: I have linked my Snapchat Ads account but I'm still unable to see any data?

A: Please ensure you have the correct role / permission for your Snapchat Ads account. You need to have Organization Admin, Account Admin or the Campaign manager role in order to access data. Once you have the appropriate role, relink the account and your Snapchat Ads data will populate into your Reports / Dashboards
