Overview

Templates make report building faster, more consistent, and easier to scale.

With this release, templates are no longer limited to report creation. Users can now browse, preview, and insert templates directly into existing reports, allowing them to expand or customize reports without rebuilding layouts from scratch.

Templates support both single-page layouts and multi-page sections, enabling reuse across integrations, campaign types, and reporting goals.

What Is a Template?

A template is a reusable reporting layout that can include:

  • One page

  • Multiple pages or a full section

  • An entire report

Templates capture:

  • Page structure and layout

  • Widget configuration and placement

  • Integration-specific widgets

  • Orientation (portrait or landscape)

Templates do not lock styling. When inserted, they automatically inherit the current report’s theme.

Where Templates Are Used

Templates are available through the Add Page flow.

You can access templates when:

  • Clicking Add Page from the left navigation pane

  • Adding a page inline from within the report

  • Adding a page inside an existing section

In all cases, the Template Gallery opens as the central interface for discovering and inserting templates.

Template Gallery Overview

The Template Gallery is the single hub for browsing, filtering, previewing, and inserting templates.

It is divided into four key areas:

  1. Left sidebar navigation

  2. Template listing area

  3. Search and sort controls

  4. Template preview flow

Template Categories

Templates are organized into three primary categories:

Blank Page

  • Always displayed as the first option

  • Allows users to start from a clean slate

  • Useful for fully custom layouts

Suggested Templates

System-recommended templates based on:

  • Connected integrations

For example:

  • Google Ads reports may surface Search, Display, or Performance Max templates

  • Meta Ads reports may surface Leads or Awareness templates

If no integrations are connected, all templates are shown by default.

My Templates

  • Templates saved by the user or their team

  • Includes pages, sections, or full reports

  • Displays the name of the user who created the template

All Templates

  • Curated, pre-built templates provided by the system

  • Designed for common integrations, channels, and reporting goals

Filtering Templates

The Template Gallery provides multiple filtering options to quickly narrow results.

Integration Filters

  • Displays connected integrations for the team

  • Clicking an integration shows only relevant templates

Channel Filters

Templates can be filtered by business use case:

  • PPC

  • SEO

  • eCommerce

  • Web Analytics

  • Social Media

  • Call Tracking

  • Email Marketing

Search and Sort

Search

The search bar supports:

  • Template name

  • Tags (e.g., Leads, Performance)

  • Integration names

  • Channel names

Search results update in real time.

Sort

Templates can be sorted by:

  • Most Recent

  • Alphabetical (A–Z)

Template Cards

Each template card displays key information at a glance:

  • Template name

  • Tags

  • Associated integrations

  • Number of pages

In My Templates, an additional detail is shown:

  • Name of the user who created the template

If a template uses an integration that is not connected, that integration appears visually muted or blurred.

Previewing a Template

Before inserting a template, users can preview it to confirm suitability.

Template Preview Modal

The preview modal includes:

Page Thumbnails

  • Scrollable previews of all pages in the template

  • Visual representation of layout and structure

Template Metadata

Displayed at the top:

  • Template name

  • Description

  • Total page count

  • Tags

  • Compatible integrations

If an integration is missing, a warning message is shown:

This warning is informational and does not block insertion.

More details on how to insert a template into a report can be found here.
