After adding a domain, you will be taken to the form where you can add keywords. On this page, you can enter as many keywords as your plan allows. Your usage is calculated based on the number of Keyword Units consumed, explained below.
Keyword Units Formula
Total Keyword Units = Number of Keywords × Number of Search Engines × Search Depth Factor
The Search Depth Factor is based on the depth you choose for ranking retrieval.
Default search depth is 10, which counts as 1x
If you increase the depth to 20, the usage becomes 2x
(because it requires twice the crawling depth)
Example
If you track 200 keywords on 10 search engines with the default search depth of 10, the total Keyword Units will be:
200 × 10 × 1 = 2000 Keyword Units
If the search depth is increased to 20, the total Keyword Units will be:
200 × 10 × 2 = 4000 Keyword Units
When you add keywords, it typically takes 60 minutes or less for ranking data to start showing but may take up to 24 hours for all keywords to be processed and populated. You can continue to add keywords and domains as needed and those will all be queued up for data.
