Starting May 1, 2025, Google is introducing OAuth Granular Consent for apps connecting with Google APIs. This change impacts how permissions are granted when you link your accounts through our platform.

This update follows Google's rollout of OAuth granular consent, which gives users more control over which permissions they grant. While this increases flexibility, it also requires more careful user action during the account linking process to avoid data disruptions.

What’s changing?

Previously, when you linked your Google account, all necessary permissions were granted at once. With the new granular consent model, you will have the ability to selectively grant permissions. However, for successful account linking and complete data visibility in your reports, it is critical that you grant all requested permissions during the linking process.

If some permissions are not granted:

  • Your account may not link successfully.

  • You may experience missing or incomplete data in your reports.

  • Some reporting features may not function as expected.

What you need to do:

When prompted to authorize permissions while linking your account :

  • Carefully review all requested permissions.

  • Allow all permissions to ensure seamless linking and full reporting capabilities.
