Why do I need to relink my account?

If the access token of an ad account expires, you'll see an error while creating a report/ dashboard.

What is an access token?

Before an application can access private data using an API, it must obtain an access token that grants access to that API.

Simply, the access token is the thing that's passed along with every API call as proof that the call was made by a specific person from a specific app.

What is the lifetime of an access token?

The lifetime of an access token depends upon the API of a data source like Google AdWords API, Twitter Ads API and more.

So, you need to relink your account depending on the lifetime of an access token to use it in ReportGarden.

For example, the lifetime of an access token in Facebook Ads is 60 days. Assuming no changes in the credentials of that particular account.

You can simply identify the relink needed accounts with the help of a tag present below that particular account.

How to relink an account?

  1. Go to Accounts
  2. Using Filter By drop-down, open the account
  3. Notice the tag - "Relink needed" just below the account name

  4. Click on the Relink button present at the right hand side. That's it! 😃
