Fixing the "Tools not supported" error in ChatGPT

Refresh the ReportGarden plugin in ChatGPT to get your reporting data back in a few clicks.

What's happening?

When you use ReportGarden inside ChatGPT, you might see a "Tools not supported" error, or ChatGPT may say it can't reach your ReportGarden data. This usually happens when ChatGPT is still using an older list of ReportGarden tools that it saved earlier.

Your data and your ReportGarden account are safe. ChatGPT just needs to reload the latest tools.

How to fix it

Step 1: Go to chatgpt.com and sign in.

Step 2: Click Plugins.

Step 3: Select the ReportGarden plugin.

Step 4: Click Manage.

Step 5: Click Refresh tools.

When the refresh finishes, open a new chat and try your request again. For example: "Show me last month's Google Ads performance for [client name]."

Still seeing the error?

If the error doesn't go away after you refresh:

  • Sign out of ChatGPT, sign back in, and try again in a new chat.

  • Disconnect the ReportGarden plugin and connect it again.

  • If none of that works, message us from this chat window. Include a screenshot of the error and the prompt you used, and we'll take a look.

Good to know

We keep improving ReportGarden's ChatGPT integration. Whenever we add or update tools, ChatGPT may need a quick refresh before it can use them. If you hit this error after an update, refreshing the tools is the first thing to try.
